When You’re Afraid

Fear has a way of creeping in at night or in moments of uncertainty. It doesn’t ask for permission. It just shows up—and often stays longer than you want it to.

David, a warrior and king, still admitted he felt afraid. But he didn’t stop there. He made a choice: when I’m afraid, I will trust You.

Faith doesn’t mean you never feel fear. It means you know where to run when it shows up.

If fear is knocking on your heart today, let trust answer the door. Not perfect trust—just a little mustard-seed-sized trust that says, “God, I need You right now.”

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”

Psalm 56:3 (NIV)

Pray

God, I’m afraid. But I choose to trust You. Hold me steady when I feel shaken.
